The Dance of Sapiens

Why don't people dance on the streets more often
Where I come from our hips sway inherently
Rhythmically to all beats
As though we are possessed at one with our ancestors
As though they come alive again using our limbs to come alive once again
And indeed, there's something spiritual and healing in the art
It's an art of its own
To let go of all worries, pains, thoughts
But only situated in the present moment
Lifting our spirits with a bliss that is irreplaceable by any renowned chemist
It transcends us to another place of unfathomable experience when the beat itself takes control of the whole body
An experience that does not differentiate between any human
But has forever been with our ancestors and passed down generations indifferent forms
Reminding us what it means to be fully human
